Hail to the Boss

Presidents Day brought school for Ty and Ry, a field trip for Cannon and a day off for Shane. We decided to tag along with Cannon's class to the Clinton Library for the Dr. Suess exhibit. Theo was stoked, he loves art.

After about an hour we split and Cannon went back to school. It was almost like a date for us. We contemplated going home for a 4 hour nap, then remembered that we still had the one child with us that HATES sleep. So instead, we went for an oil change, then for sushi, then some B&N therapy. Before we knew it, it was time to start picking up the offspring.

It was refreshing...short lived, and always cherished.

While at the Clinton Library I was able to get some neat shots of the boss...here are a couple:
and here are a few random shots:

Scrap Exchange

Becca hosted a long overdue scrap exchange...fabric was the main trade. Also included was any and everything crafty. We partied until midnight, gossiped a little, snacked alot...the estrogen was thick! We went home with newly acquired treasures. It was a great night, and I look forward to the next one.
Thanks Bex!

Hello! Bear

Last night we attended Ty's Cub Scout Blue and Gold Ceremony. He was awarded 2 new belt loops, for swimming and soccer, a silver arrow point and of course, his Wolf badge. Now, to work on his Bear.
I'm a proud momma, and I'm also really glad this is something his dad is in charge of.

7 whole months

Today my Omega is 7 months.

I totally missed his 6 month stat post in blogland.

So here is a long overdue update:

6 months:
weight: 20lbs 1 oz. - 87%
length: 28.25" - 94%
head circumference: 18" - 92%

oddly enough, he's a bit smaller than Cannon was. here is a shot of his 6 month trick:
His other trick is making his mom wash the sheets at least every other day.
(but that he's been practicing since birth)

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Now, at 7 months he weighs in at a hefty 21.6 lbs. He's still sitting, and starting to venture into reaching out a bit. I've caught him clapping a few times, but especially tries if you give him a big "yaaaay Theo!" He's still maintaing his right cheek dimple and the chin dimple...and increasing the dimples on his backside. He has no interest in crawling, and his fellow summer of 2010 baby friends are leaving him in the dust. It's okay, he has a lot to move, know what I mean? He can stay immobile until he's 1, if I'm lucky.
His loves:
his mommy, still...the most. He loves to watch Baby Einstein, and I catch him gazing at Super Why every now and then. He LOVES his brothers and sister. They are, by far, his most favorite form of entertainment. He loves the green pacifier, his white blanket, sitting in the corner of the couch and banging toys. He loves the silicone kitchen spatulas, being outdoors, Sophie the giraffe, the ladybug, riding in the stroller, chillin in his jumper, chewing on everything. He also found his screeching voice, and loves to use it in church. He's a chatty boy. He enjoys typing on his sisters Thumbelina laptop while I type on mine.
He doesn't love:
SLEEP, real food, or when his mommy ingests lactose. He doesn't love the cold after the bath, waiting for feeding time, or not being the center of attention. He doesn't love to sit in his saucer for more than 3-5 minutes. he loves/hates his daddy's scruff.
Theo is an absolutely delicious little specimen. He gives perfectly wet kisses, lights up our world with his smiles and his laughter is contagious. One of my most favorite things about this baby though, is seeing this beautifully tender side of my older 3. He truly brings out the best in our family...and we are so blessed to have him.

i heart this day

(excuse the under/overexposure of these photos...i'm a student)

i started the day out with treat baskets for my sweeties.

well, i'll be honest. it started with my baby sweetie waking up around 6am, wide awake. i then realized that i hadn't put the treat baskets together, so it was convenient. i threw my muk-luks on and headed out to the car to retrieve some hidden goodies. once out there i realized i had already moved them to my closet, it was 6am after all and i think i only had one eye open. plus, if i haven't mentioned in the past, buddha baby doesn't care much for sleep, so our nights are frequently interrupted.

anyhoo, i got everything put together, still with one eye open. because the older sweeties had a scheduled day off, i got to go back to sleep for about 25 minutes. a luxury, i'll even go so far as to call it a Valentine's gift from them.
after i convinced both eyes to open, i proceeded to get everyone ready for a planned picnic at Pinnacle Mountain. the weather was phenomonal, considering we were iced in just last Friday...we couldn't even get out of our driveway only 4 days ago.
we met our friends, soaked up the sunshine, ate lunch and walked a trail. it was perfect.
we had a couple of visitors drop off some treats for the babes, then it was off to Cheeburger for Valentines dinner with friends. it was a family date, of sorts.
my Valentine surpised me with my very favorite truffles, he loves me. i love him, and we love us...all 6.
he'll have the pounder, please.
