Easter Weekend 2008

Tyler had his school Easter Egg hunt on Friday 3/21. Ryli went to work with Shane that day so it was just me and the boys.....and all of the other kids in Ty's class. We had fun but Ty did not find the Golden Egg which was very disappointing to him:(

On Saturday morning we woke up early to go to the Tobler's for an Easter Brunch. We had so much fun, the food was great, good people around & the kids had fun hunting eggs. We were there for about an hour and a half when poor Cannon threw up all over Shane. (this is why you won't see many Easter pics of Bubba) Luckily Shane was able to keep it all on him, we managed to salvage the Tobler's tablecloth and carpet.

After we had worn out our welcome with a sick child we took Shane and Ty to Pinnacle Mountain to meet Aaron and Issac for a hike to the top. Me and Ry and Cannon headed home to get a bath and a nap. Here are some of the awesome pics they got. Shane let Tyler clip the camera to his belt on the way up and Tyler felt very responsible. At the top Ty took pictures of any and everything.....

The boys finally got home around 6p.m. and I had some last minute Bunny errands to run, namely buy eggs to dye for the Bunny to hide! (Cannon slept through the coloring of the eggs)

The Easter Bunny made it to the Sharp house! Cannon finally started feeling better!

We headed to church around 9:45 a.m. for a BEAUTIFUL Easter Cantata during Sacrament meeting, and an ever present reminder of the true meaning of Easter!! What a glorious meaning it is! I teach the 5 year olds in Primary and I was so impressed by their understanding of the story of Easter and the Resurrection.

After church we went to Sue-wee's for the family celebration!

Here is the Queen of Southern Hospitality herself! We can always count on our Sue-wee for the best comfort food around. We had Parmesan Chicken, Lima beans, homemade Mac & Cheese, Broccoli Rice casserole, Spinach and Strawberry Salad and I brought the bread! She topped it off with a delicious (I'm sure) Lemon Bundt cake! We wrapped up the day with surprises for the kids and yet another egg hunt. This time a few of the eggs had money in them and the kids REALLY loved that! Once again, Cannon slept through the whole thing.

We couldn't have asked for better weather the entire 3 days! Thanks to everyone who helped to make our holiday so special! HAPPY EASTER!

Can I get you to email me a copy of that pic of Ryli sitting down and picking flowers? That's a drawing right there!
